About the Project

High-speed imaging is a powerful tool for capturing ultrafast transient phenomena in a variety of applications such as microfluidics, fluidic dynamics, combustion, and ballistics studies. Our research at AOCIL is focused on new high-speed imaging technology that can reach millions frames/s framerate at very low cost (http://home.eps.hw.ac.uk/~xw66/).

The project will research high-speed imaging technology that involves the following elements:

·        Computational imaging technique and Machine learning based signal processing.

·        Imaging system integration.

·        Optics design of high-speed camera system.

·        Applications of high-speed imaging technology in various fields.

We are looking for motivated candidates with strong physics/optics/image signal processing/electronics engineering/computer science/machine learning background.
