Hybrid Wind and Photovoltaic Power Generation with Energy Storage

   Department of Mechanical Engineering

About the Project

This project will investigate advanced strategies for the design, integration and optimization of hybrid wind/photovoltaic/battery systems for distributed power generation. The balance of economics and performance of the system will be the main objective of the research. Computer modeling techniques will be employed in order to calculate and simulate the hybrid system of several design scenarios. Advanced control strategies will be developed to match the load with the variations of solar/wind energy generation and storage.
