About the Project

Proposed Training:
We will provide technical training in new biosensor techniques and modalities that do not currently exist. The PD and HDRs will work with Osseointegration to develop a route to market to commercialise the new implantable technology, which will further develop and extend Australia's leading position in the field of implantable medical bionics.

Proposed Outcomes:
The project will develop a comprehensive active sensor and stimulation system - an instrumented MSK implant that measures a range of physical, chemical, and physiological conditions to monitor rehabilitation and implant failure. Sensor information will become inputs for computational modeling. The device and electrode contacts will be designed to interface with ceramic coatings.

Application procedure:
Please discuss project with applicable academic for further information.
