Improving Health in Manufacturing (EHUF2019)


Project Description

This project is aligned with wider research work which focuses on the manufacturing sector and the physical and mental health and wellbeing of workers within that sector whose roles have changed and continue to change, at a rapid pace with the introduction of new technology.

This project will investigate the development of a systems approach and analysis of a range of issues and interventions covering all aspects of the workplace environment endeavouring to make a positive impact on overall wellbeing.

Start date: 1 July, 1 October, 1 January, 1 April.

Entry requirements:

2.1 or higher in ergonomics, systems engineering or a related subject. Experience in health and psychology a positive.

Funding Notes

This is an open call for candidates who are sponsored or who have their own funding. If you do not have funding, you may still apply, however Institutional funding is not guaranteed. Outstanding candidates (UK/EU/International) without funding will be considered for funding opportunities which may become available in the School.

Band RA (UK/EU: TBC; international: £17,200), Band RB (UK/EU: TBC; international: £22,350).
