About the Project

Ultrasonic techniques have been successfully applied at Bradford to polymer extrusion, injection moulding and micromoulding for both monitoring and control of the processes. This project will consider additional applications of industrial ultrasound in the field of polymer processing and is open to a variety of possibilities including monitoring of reactional extrusion and pharmaceutical HME, and ultrasonic micromoulding. This is envisaged primarily as an experimental project and would be suitable for graduates of mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, industrial pharmacy or natural science (physics or chemistry).
