Project Description

About the Project
Flooding is the most widely distributed of all natural hazards with floods from rivers, estuaries and the sea threatening many millions of people worldwide. The UK is at the forefront for modelling flood hazards from local to global scale; however, resilience is currently not integrated in such models. This project looks into exploring how to embed resilience in flood impact models, like LISFLOOD-FP, and evaluating resilience-based scenarios; it aims to pioneer a new generation of flood impact models.

About You
You are an enthusiastic student interested in hydrology and engineering, with prior experience (or at least have the potential to develop these) in programming, risk analysis and GIS.

About the programme
The Cabot Institute Masters by Research is a unique opportunity to work with a leading supervisor to deliver a one-year research project that you are passionate about.
