Project Description

This is a project with the aim of investigating the algebraic, geometrical and category-theoretical foundations of topological Quantum Computation. The eventual aim is to facilitate the development of viable quantum computers, but the objective is to develop general mathematical modelling frameworks for the various components. This is expected to involve areas such as higher-dimensional category theory, representation theory and (quantum) topology.
