About This PhD Project

Project Description

Carbon-Carbon bond formation is fundamental to synthetic organic chemistry. The project will look at make sp3-Sp1 carbon-carbon bonds using Fe as a metal catalyst. The use of Fe to help make carbon-carbon bond is of significant interest at the moment, Fe has low toxicity and has a high natural abundance.

Entry requirements part one:

Applicants should have, or expect to achieve, at least a 2:1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry

Entry requirements part two:

All students must also meet the minimum English Language requirements. A relevant Master's degree and / or experience in one or more of the following will be an advantage: Chemistry
