A competitive KESS 2 East studentship is available to an excellent student to fund an MSc by Research degree in Molecular Medicine. The studentship provides a stipend of £11,937 with a fee waiver for BU tuition fees.

The MSc by Research degree in Molecular Medicine uses a multi-disciplinary, research-based approach to teach students the skills needed to pursue a research career in academia, industry or research institutes. The research project is an interdisciplinary collaboration between the schools of Medical and Health Sciences and Computer Science and Electronic Engineering and will be performed in the well-equipped laboratories of the Bangor North West Cancer Research Institute and the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering.

The scholarships are sponsored by Creo Medical ( Creo Medical are dedicated to improving patient outcomes by bringing advanced energy to the emerging field of advanced therapeutic endoscopy. Their innovative technology platform combines bipolar RF and Microwave Energy for tissue dissection, resection, ablation and coagulation in a single integrated unit.

Applicants are expected to hold a BSc degree equivalent to a UK 2.2 in a relevant subject. Due to ESF funding, eligibility restrictions apply to this scholarship. To be eligible, the successful candidate will need to be resident in the East Wales on University registration, and must have the right to work in the region on qualification.
