MACHINE LEARNING SCIENTIST (PhD)
35-40 hrs per week
Implementation and Development of AI and Data Science Solutions for Pharmaceutical Processes

Duties and responsibilities:
- Be involved in on-going tasks for funded projects evolving around self-supervised artificial intelligence
- Support the development of machine learning components (data analysis, predictive models, image analysis) for pharmaceutical processes (e.g. model electrochemical reactions, continuous tableting,…)
- Independently develop machine learning solutions
- Publish research results in reputed journals
- Implement interfaces between components via communication protocols such as REST-API, gRPC, OPC-UA, etc.
- Design and implement simple user interfaces for prototypes used for demonstrations
- Support work on project reports and deliverables
Requirements:
- An MSc degree in Computer Science or Mathematics with strong Computer Science focus
- Advanced knowledge of Python including machine learning
- Knowledge of C++ and CUDA programming an advantage
- Very good mathematical knowledge (e.g. multivariate calculus, statistics,…)
- Basic knowledge of communication prototcols (e.g. REST-API, gRPC) and their implementation
- Knowledge of operating systems and networks
- Very good English language skills
- Interest in research and science in general
