Massive MIMO is seen as a revolution in wireless communications that can fundamentally overcome the problems of interference and fading and enhance data rates significantly. This aim of this project is to develop new signal processing and machine learning methods for massive MIMO based 5G and beyond 5G networks. The focus will be on computationally attractive algorithms for enhancing data rates and minimising energy usage. Large intelligence surfaces will also be considered as part of the design.
- Applicants should have, or expect to achieve, at least a 2:1 Honours degree (or equivalent)
- A relevant Master's degree and / or experience in one or more of the following will be an advantage: Signal Processing, Wireless Communications
