About the Project

We are collecting untargeted metabolomics data on microbiomes associated with the process of anaerobic digestion (the conversion of waste biomass to biogas). This project will develop automated pipelines for the curation and analysis of these data with the goal of gaining insights into how process changes affect small molecule abundance. Applicants should have experience in unix command line, Python or R, or a willingness and enthusiasm to learn relevant coding skills, as well as an appreciation of metabolic pathways.

Funding Notes

This is a self-funded project. Applicants need to have adequate funds to meet the costs of a self-funded research project including tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of the research programme. Please see information on tuition fee costs, living expenses and funding opportunities.

Applications are welcome for a 1-year MSc by Research only
