About the Project

Due to recent recruitment into the School we have a need for PhD students in the following disciplines.

- Mineral Resource Management,
- Sustainable Mining Practices,
- Mining Systems,
- Strategic Mine Planning,
- Rock Breakage (Drilling and Blasting),
- Mineral Processing (Comminution),
- Waste/Tailings Management,

It is expected interested applicants would have a WAM or GPA in an undergraduate degree in a mining or related discipline of around 75% in the last 2 years of their degree. A good Masters with a reasonable research component would be an advantage.

Funding Notes

Typical funding available for high achieving applicants is a waiver of Tuition fees + the provision of an adequate living allowance of approximately $A25,000 per year. A PhD is expected to be completed in 3.5 to 4 years.
