About the Project

This project aims to develop an interferometric biosensor integrated with microchip electrophoresis for potential applications in point-of-care diagnostics. The student will gain skills and experience in hydrogels, microfabrication, electrophoresis, lab-on-chip and optics.

The PhD student will be based in Dr Ruchi Gupta’s group (https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/schools/chemistry/people/navigation.aspx?ReferenceId=126213) in the School of Chemistry. Degree Requirements:
Applicants should possess (or expect to possess) a good degree in physical sciences or engineering or allied disciplines.
