About the Project

This speculative project aims to investigate biologically plausible neurons and neural networks in order to solve machine learning tasks. The projects require a thorough study of neuroscience literature to find possibilities that lead to investigating types of neurons, types of synapses, and their information processing abilities. The goal is to construct a mathematical and computational model to solve machine learning tasks such as regression, classification, and pattern recognition. In addition, we study the information processing capabilities of synapses, connection, and sparsity of the biological brain.

This project is open for a self-funded, strongly motivated candidate with a strong degree in computer science neuroscience. With strong candidates, it is possible to prepare scholarship applications such as Commonwealth and others.
