About the Project

This project in nutritional psychiatry/neuroscience area focuses on expanding the scientific understanding of the complex interactions between diet/nutrients and mental, sleep, and cognitive health, with a specific focus on their biological (e.g., inflammation, gut microbiome) and neural (e.g., neurochemistry, brain structure) correlates in different population groups (e.g., children, healthy adults, older adults, patients with mild cognitive impairment). Depending on the interests and expertise of the student, there is an opportunity to use a wide range of techniques (e.g., randomised controlled trials, neuroimaging...etc.).
