About the Project

We are pleased to invite UK, EU and international applications for a fully-funded PhD studentship in Organisational change management in a complex and dynamic business environment using with digital technologies from Teesside University International Business School.

Project description

Business environments are fast becoming more complex, turbulent, and dynamic. Even so, digital technologies are rapidly transforming the business environment, especially after the Covid-19. Various strategies were adopted by different organisations to manage and cope with the changes that came with Covid-19. To survive in this dynamic environment, business organisations need to develop viable and proactive change management strategies that are in tune with emerging digital technologies. Most organisations are still using change management approaches that don’t work with digital transformation (Sheila Cox, 2017). It is therefore imperative to understand the roles that digital technology can play in managing organisational changes in a dynamic environment. In the same way, organisations need to understand appropriate change management strategies to adopt in a complex and dynamic environment.

This project invites proposals from potential PhD candidates with competences in pluralistic research methodology to explore the role of digital technologies in managing changes in a dynamic business environment.

The supervisor is Dr Sikiru Ganiyu.
