About the Project
Data Marketplace in the context of supply chain ecosystem
It is estimated that approximately 90% of data in the world today was created in the last two years. Data has the power to solve some of the most pressing challenges facing society such as circular economy and Netzero. However, most of the data remain siloed, fragmented, and unavailable for deriving social and economic value.
Data exchanges can unlock innovation in key sectors, such as agriculture, smart cities, and logistics. It provides a platform for various stakeholders – government, industry, suppliers, customers, logistics service providers etc. to collaborate and leverage the power of data to unlock the opportunities afforded by the vast volume and vareity of data. Yet how to leverage emerging technologies to ensure trustworthy data sharing/exchange in supply chains whilst protecting data security, privacy and IP remains largely unexplored.
The proposed research attempts to address this important issue.
Criteria
- Previous experience with and/or willingness to carry out Mixed-methods Research
- Background in supply chain and/or digital technology would be preferrable.
