About the Project
The available PhD is based in the general area of organic semiconductors and their applications (solar cells, new display technologies, low energy lighting, biosensors, lasers). Multidisciplinary training will be obtained in synthesis, electrochemistry, materials characterisation and device work and testing. The project will involve the synthesis of new materials specifically designed for targeted properties and use in the technologies mentioned above. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to collaborate with UK and international partners to expand their training.
Applicants will be required to hold at least an upper second class honours degree in Chemistry.
