About the Project

A new PhD project at the BP Institute in University of Cambridge to study infection dispersal processes in buildings has been created in the present crisis. This fully-funded project will involve collecting data in building laboratory models and theoretical models of ventilation flows, and interpreting the data using these models, in terms of airborne droplet dispersal.

Students with a 1st or high 2.1 degree in Maths, Physics, Engineering or Chemical Engineering are encouraged to make a formal application through the University admission portal:
https://www.graduate.study.cam.ac.uk/application-process/how-do-i-apply.

The PhD could start in October 2020. Please apply before end of May 2020.

The University and the Department is committed to equality and diversity, and we would particularly welcome applications from women and minority candidates. The University holds an institutional Athena-SWAN silver award and the Department holds an Athena-SWAN bronze award.

The PhD will be supervised by Prof AW Woods. Please send enquiries to [Email Address Removed]
