About This PhD Project

Project Description

The development of novel catalytic methodologies to create molecules is of highest importance for the further development of organic chemistry. Within a project funding by the European Union (ERC Grant) we aim to activate donor-acceptor cyclopropanes to create carbo-and heterocyclic compounds. The group you would join is an internationally well-known, medium-sized, highly dynamic group with excellent instrumentation and analytical facilities along with fast publication (More information, see Sufficient funding is guaranteed.

Person Specification: Applicants should have a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry or methodology, and must have completed, or are soon to complete, a Master (or equivalent) degree in chemistry at a high level. They should have a very good knowledge of organic chemistry, be willing to extend their areas of expertise and have good communication skills (in English). The ability to work safely, independently and in a team environment are essential.
