We have a PhD vacancy focusing on experiments studying nucleon and hadron structure and which will be performed at Jefferson Lab (USA). These experiments will probe the structure of matter, and are highly challenging and interesting measurements to carry out due to the high beam luminosities used and resulting high particle rates in the detectors. The PhD project offers an exciting chance to get involved in several different aspects of this experimental program.
The start date is flexible within the range from Autumn 2020 until Spring 2021.
Applicants require a minimum of a 2:1, BSc or MSci degree in physics or a related degree. Applicants with a PGT MSc are also eligible.
