Project Description

UCL Engineering The Faculty of Engineering Sciences comprises ten academic departments who undertake research and teaching across a great range of disciplines. UCL Department of Chemical Engineering is one of the top research and teaching departments in the UK and has world-class standing. The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and has an extensive research portfolio across a wealth of areas, and from molecular scale to complex systems. It is undergoing a period of rapid growth, and is the home of the EPSRC “Frontier Engineering” Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering, the Electrochemical Innovation Laboratory, and several consortia supported by the European Commission. Duties and responsibilities:
• To carry out experimental research in the field of materials science and energy storage/generation.
• To discover and design new solid-state electrolyte materials for incorporation in all-solid-state batteries.
• To collaborate with a within a large research team.
• To travel and visit collaborators as necessary.
• To prepare and present research findings to colleagues for review and collaboration purposes.
• To contribute to the drafting and submission of articles to appropriate peer reviewed journals and progress reports as required.
• To contribute to the overall activities of the research team and department as required.
• To actively follow UCL policies including Equal Opportunities and Race Equality policies.
• To maintain an awareness and observation of Fire and Health & Safety Regulations.
