Position Description

Funding

  • Duration: 3.5 years for PhD, 1.5 years for MPhil
  • Living allowance: tax free, AUD$ 36,652 per year (2024 rate, increasing every year, you may check the latest amount on ANU website)
  • Tuition fee (AUD$ 49,330 per year) fully waived
  • Additional funding available for travelling to 2-3 domestic and international conferences
  • Relocation allowance
  • Dependent child allowance
  • Thesis allowance
  • Paid medical, maternity, parental leave

Requirements

  • A Master or Bachelor (with Honours) degree in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science or related fields
  • Outstanding academic achievements, e.g. high distinctions (HD), university medal, academic awards, etc.
  • Prior research experience preferred, but not essential
  • Highly motivated
