PhD position, 3 years, in Chemistry - Control of epigenetic states through light-triggered protein-protein interaction mediators

We are a young group and are looking for creative and passionate coworkers. The PhD position is for 3 years, salary scale (TV-H), pay scale E 13 (50%) and requires a Master degree (or equivalent) in chemistry with a strong background in organic synthesis (fluorophores & photoswitches and/or other photosensitive molecules). The willingness to develop own’s research as well as independent thinking is expected. Deep knowledge in the field of photochemistry, as well as previous experience in azobenzene synthesis, peptide synthesis, protein expression, HPLC, and well-plate assay develop-ment is of advantage.  The faculty of Chemistry at the Philipps-University Marburg is supported by modern infrastructures and facilities within a new building that has just been inaugurated in August 2015.
