About This PhD Project

Project Description

Candidates are welcome to apply for a PhD position in the field of Biomimetic Nanosensor and Nanoelectronics, in Prof. Cui’s research group, department of Biological Engineering, Utah State University, USA (with Graduate Assistantship and Health Insurance).

The research area is developing biomimetic nanosensor and nanoelectronics for medical diagnosis, which will involve interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in electronic device fabrication and characterization, biological recognition and reaction, nanotechnology, surface functionalization and science, wireless antenna, and microfluidics.

Preferred Backgrounds: Candidates with Bachelor and Master Degrees in Engineering (Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc..); with study/research background in electronic device, wireless antenna, and/or bioengineering; with excellent GPA and GRE.

The position will start in January 2014 or September 2014, and the application will be reviewed immediately till the position is filled.
