Machine learning has been emerging as a powerful tool for optimising wireless networks. The traditional methods for the design of wireless networks may not provide optimal solutions due to highly non-linear optimizations and may be of high complexity, hence power consuming. The machine learning and deep learning techniques have the potential to optimise end to end performance of wireless networks such as the throughput and latency. The aim of this project to develop various machine learning techniques including deep learning, reinforcement learning and adversarial learning for the design of future generations of wireless networks including 6G networks. The PhD student will benefit from the extensive expertise of the project team in signal processing and machine learning with a strong track record of publishing in top tier international journals.
