About the Project
The successful candidate will have an excellent opportunity to do research on traffic microsimulations, pavement degradation models, work with computer games developers, and explore some of the most advanced artificial intelligence techniques in order to take optimised decisions for the maintenance of roads.
We are looking for a person that is enthusiastic, likes engineering challenges, and has fun playing computer games and even developing them. We offer an excellent environment and ample opportunity for travelling. After successful completion of the Thesis, the candidate will obtain two PhD degrees, from the University of Nottingham and the University of Birmingham.

This is a 3-year programme. This position is available immediately and applications will be open until filled. The studentship includes fees and a tax-free stipend of £15,009 per annum. Please note that due to funding restrictions, current funding is available to UK/EU nationals only.
