Dr A Wilson  Applications accepted all year round  Competition Funded PhD Project (European/UK Students Only)

About the Project

I’m interested in supervising PhD students on any aspects of the many-worlds hypothesis as it relates to metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of physics, philosophy of science, and philosophy of religion. Questions could include:

Does the multiverse undermine the fine-tuning argument for the existence of God?
What implications does the multiverse have for the free will debate?
Is morality possible in a multiverse?
How does empirical confirmation work in a multiverse?
Does the multiverse offer support to nominalism about abstract entities?
How do inflationary multiverses relate to many-worlds quantum mechanics?

Applicants should have a good first degree and Master’s, including a significant philosophy component.
