Dr Joel Hooper  Applications accepted all year round  Funded PhD Project (Students Worldwide)

About the Project

This is a highly collaborative PhD project working at the interface of organic chemistry and catalysis with polymer science and biomaterials. We will be using cutting edge developments in photoredox catalysis for the efficient and green synthesis of polymers and polymer bioconjugates. This will involve developing new catalytic methods for polymerisation using small-molecule models, and the application of these methods to biomaterials such as cellulose.
