Funded PhD Project (Students Worldwide)
About the Project
An exceptional opportunity has arisen at the Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC) for four graduate training positions within the Centre of Computational and Systems Medicine and the Discipline of Information Technology, Mathematics and Statistics at Murdoch University.
The ANPC is a core platform of Western Australia Health Translational Network (WAHTN), an international research node dedicated to developing and delivering metabolic phenotyping to address key health challenges to benefit the global population.
Metabolic phenotyping is at the heart of systems medicine and will revolutionise our understanding of gene-environment interactions, relevant for disease prevention and maintenance of health.
The four projects are in the fields of neuropathology and cardiometabolic disease. Successful applicants will work with state-of-the-art analytical platforms for performing metabolic phenotyping experiments (NMR and MS) alongside internationally recognised experts. The PhD projects will focus on the development of next generation computational workflows to maximise translational impact of metabolic phenotyping research.
We are seeking highly motivated candidates, from relevant fields such as bioinformatics, (bio)chemistry or mathematics, to join our multidisciplinary and international team of researchers.
