Resilience and Reliability Assurance for Multidisciplinary Autonomous Systems

   Faculty of Engineering and Informatics

About the Project

This project will look at establishing a fundamental basis for the reliability and resilience assurance of multidisciplinary autonomous systems, considering both the design paradigm (underpinned by a model-based systems engineering approach) and the fail-operational requirements. The approach will aim to address the gap in approaches and methodologies between software dependability and physical systems behaviour modelling.

The University of Bradford Automotive Research Centre has a strong track record of collaborations with the global automotive industry focussed on the modelling and optimisation of complex automotive systems for reliability and robustness. This research project will be based in the interdisciplinary Advanced Automotive Analytics research laboratory.

Funding Notes

This is a self-funded PhD project; applicants will be expected to pay their own fees or have a suitable source of third-party funding. A bench fee may also apply to this project, in addition to the tuition fees. UK students may be able to apply for a Doctoral Loan from Student Finance for financial support.
