About the Project
Geopolymer concrete (GPC), also known as alkali-activated concrete, is a sustainable (low carbon) alternative to conventional concrete made of Portland cement. The rheological (flow) properties of conventional concrete made of Portland cement have been investigated in detail. However, studies on the rheological properties of GPC are very limited. This project will investigate the effect of various parameters on the rheological properties of GPC.
The project start date is 02 January 2023.
The potential applicant should have a Masters degree or Bachelors with Honours degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or closely related field with a strong demonstrated interest/experience in concrete technology and construction materials development.
