About the Project

This is a fully funded PhD position in chiral ligand synthesis and rhodium catalysis, available to both domestic and international applicants. Utilising novel graphene catalysis, this project will aim to develop the first enantioselective synthesis of benzanulated cyclooctatetraene ligands. This class of ligand has the potential to promote a variety of rhodium catalysed cycloaddition reactions, leading to the synthesis of complex molecules and natural products. Further details of the project can be found here:

Project description

A strong MSc or BSc (Honours) degree in chemistry is required, along with an interest in catalysis and organic synthesis.
