About the Project

This project will aim to determine whether structural and physiological properties of epicardial adipose tissue are responsible for the sex differences in human myocardial function and cardiac arrhythmogenicity. Or in lay terms, does the fat surrounding the human heart modulate the function and rhythmicity differently between female and male?
