Social Networks in Strategy Making - investigating quantitative methodologies to develop social network techniques

Project Description

Social networks tend to act as the channels through which strategy is formulated and implemented. If work is relational then different shapes and characteristics of social networks within organization will have a distinctive effect on the characteristics of the strategy process and ultimately on the strategy implemented. At one extreme if social network is fragmented implementation will be impossible but what would happen as the social network develops nodes and connections. This project will require some interest in quantitative methodologies to develop social network techniques. The field of study will be strategic management but it will include sociological concepts.
