About the Project

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the West Virginia University anticipates filling one M.S./Ph.D. graduate research position to investigate nanomaterial enhancement of Solid-Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) anodes to improve electrochemical performance and stability when operated in various hydrocarbon fuels. This appointment requires general knowledge of material properties, materials thermodynamics/kinetics, crystal chemistry, and materials characterization. Projects will require the candidates to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists.

WVU is a comprehensive land grant institution within the State of West Virginia (USA) with over 28,000 students. The MAE department has thirty-two faculty, offering B.S., M.S., and Ph.D degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering (MS&E).

Funding Notes
