About the Project
The main focus of this PhD will be on the understanding of the use of advanced renewable fuels to study details about fuel composition and its structure on spray characteristics, ignition and combustion under varying ambient conditions relevant to diesel and gas turbine engines. The research project involves experimental work; various experimental techniques will be employed in this project. Extensive theoretical work will be performed to analyse the experimental data.
We are looking for self-motivated and self-funded candidates who have Bachelors or Masters Degree with a 1st or 2:1 in experimental physics or chemistry or engineering. It will be beneficial to have good knowledge in experimental work, programming and good communication skills.
