Project Description

Applications are invited for a ERC-funded studentship in the group of Prof. Andrew Dove at the University of Warwick (group webpage: in the area of polymer synthesis. The key focus of the project is to design new synthetic routes to stereochemically pure polymers using ring-opening polymerisation methodologies. The project will seek to study the properties of these materials and develop applications as degradable biomaterials (elastomers, hydrogels, 3D printied tissue engineering scaffolds) or in self-assembly for drug delivery applications.

The ideal candiadte will be highly motivated to work in a world-class research environment and will have a strong interest in polymer synthesis including the synthesis of novel monomers from sustainable resources and/or catalysis.
