About the Project

Considering the expanding regulatory environment as well as the pace of change due to digital innovations, the number, types and seize of business risks that can impact enterprise strategy have increased the last years. Some indicative examples might be the risks of not taking advantage of an opportunity or not moving quickly enough in the marketplace. However, the regulatory environment became far more complex, and lack of compliance commonly presented a greater risk to an organization’s operations and to its ability to achieve its strategic goals. The importance to integrate risk assessment and management with strategic planning and execution, as well as, to bring enterprise risk management into corporations can assist to strengthen compliance globally. Through a critical literature review and empirical study drawing on top executive experiences and lessons learned from companies in evolving a top-down, bottom-up approach to risk management, the present research will contribute to management decision makers providing evidence of the importance of RM as part of the enterprise strategy, the importance of personal and organizational perception towards business risks, the context of risk appetite and risk culture within business and generally will be reviewed the tools, processes, mechanisms RM can be incorporated into strategy and how enterprise risk management (ERM) assist business risks to be managed effectively.
