Dr Juan Moreno Cid, Prof Eoin Casey  No more applications being accepted  Competition Funded PhD Project (Students Worldwide)

About the Project

The project aims to develop the tools and technologies to accelerate the deployment of continuous bioprocessing in biorefineries, or other biotechnological industries and the bioeconomy more broadly. It will harness the synergies between experimental and modelling work and the synergies between academia and industry.

The ESR will strive to understand the complexities of scaling up from the bench to feasible industrial processes. Develop process modelling and use these models for optimization and techno-economic modelling in the field of bioprocesses and biotechnology

The project will include laboratory and pilot plant characterisation and optimization, process modelling, scale-up and optimization, process feasibility studies and training in complementary skills. The researcher will have the opportunity to work in a pilot plant that is fully supported by experienced professionals.

This is a Marie Curie COFUND Position based in Spain with Industry (Bionet) and Academic Partner (UCD)
