Technological change, trust and work relationships

Project Description

Delivery of healthcare services is being transformed by advances in technology, most recently through the introduction of digital platforms and AI. Yet, little is known as to how this digital future will impact upon the labour process of healthcare professionals and the outcomes of the care they provide. This research will examine the impact of new technologies for trusting relationships and the meaning of work within the healthcare sector. It will explore how the implementation of technological innovation affect such relationships both between professionals and between professionals and those for whom they care.
