The changing nature of UK flooding - MScR in Global Environmental Challenges

Project Description

About the Project
In the last centuries, flooding has produced devastating societal and economic losses in the UK, as well as in other countries. There are indications that the frequency of intensive rainfall events are changing. Therefore, it is crucial to examine whether the magnitude and/or frequency of flood events is has been changing over recent decades. If either or both of these attributes have changed over time, a deeper understanding would be needed regarding location, trends, and underlying (natural or man-made) causes.
