Prof C Todd  No more applications being accepted  Competition Funded PhD Project (UK Students Only)

About the Project

There has been a rapid push to digital access of services during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is not clear how this has affected older people's use of services, health and wellbeing. We do not know enough about the effect of factors such as deprivation and ethnicity on service access.

This studentship will participate in exploration of how routine datasets (big-data) can give us insight into these changes to explore how digitalisation relates to health inequalities. We will use PPIE work to give voice to older people experiencing these changes.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have obtained or be about to obtain a First or Upper Second class UK honours degree, in a relevant subject, and/or a very good MSc/MPhil/MRes degree from a recognised institution or satisfactory work at postgraduate level (which must include research training) undertaken equivalent to at least one year full-time.

In exceptional circumstances, we may consider an application without both undergraduate and postgraduate degree (for example, those with a First/Distinction and research experience), or with compensatory professional experience.
