About the Project

Business activities have an important impact on climate change through their use of resources and energy. CSR and Sustainability issues have entered the main strategy domain of corporations, which are trying to deal with climate change in many ways. From re-inventing their business models to increasing their commitments to various CSR initiatives to even redesigning their products and production processes. But no matter the how business corporations are trying to deal with the increasingly complex challenges related to climate change it is certain that these challenges are increasing. To meet these challenges, KEDGE is looking for a PhD researcher to prepare a doctoral thesis in the area of Sustainability/Corporate Social Responsibility. The position is for a full time PhD researcher located at Kedge Business School, Marseille, however, the candidate will be registered on the PhD programme at the University of Leeds, UK, and will fulfil all of the programme’s requirements. At Kedge Business School, the PhD candidate will be affiliated to the CSR/Sustainability Centre of Excellence, whereas at the University of Leeds, the PhD will be affiliated to the Sustainability Research Institute (SRI). Regular interaction with sponsors and colleagues both at KEDGE and at the University of Leeds is expected. The
PhD will be supervised, written, and examined in English language. In addition to undertaking doctoral research, there is a requirement to participate in a certain amount of CSR teaching at Kedge Business School.

Funding Notes

Kedge Business School Marseille is in partnership with the University of Leeds for this 4-years funded PhD which will provide all tuition fees at the UK/EU fees level, a salary of EUR 24,600 per annum, and additional funding for research visits and international conference attendance.
