About the Project

This is a Masters by Research project.

Supervisors: Cróna O’Donoghue and Dr. Tena Patten

Project Summary:

This research seeks to develop guidance for tertiary institutions and art & design educators about how best to prepare design graduates for the future of work and increase their employment opportunities. It aims to understand the expectations of design-specific employers alongside companies who seek to harness the creative way of thinking of these graduates, exploring the practical and design thinking skills required. This information will ensure tertiary design education remains relevant and continues to contribute to the local and ever-evolving global market.

Candidate Qualifications/Requirements:

BA (Hons) in an Art, Design or Design Education Programme preferable but BA (Hons) in another subject with an interest in Design Pedagogy is also acceptable.
