A scholarship is available to undertake PhD or MPhil study in the group of Dr Terry Frankcombe at the Canberra campus of the University of New South Wales (UNSW Canberra). The project can be adapted to the interests of the student, falling within the area of theoretical and computational modelling of chemical reactivity, structure and energetics, with a focus on applications within astrochemistry, materials science, quantum dynamics and reaction rate theory.
Current Australian border restrictions mean applicants currently physically within Australia or New Zealand are STRONGLY preferred.
The forthcoming scholarship rounds close 9 July (for Aus/NZ citizens or PR only, for a September 2021 start) and 27 August (for a February 2022 start). Further scholarship rounds will follow on yet to be confirmed time line.
