About the Project

You will join an international team of researchers funded by the European Research Council on elucidating the features, function and transport of mobile RNA. Working closely with experimentalist groups from Hamburg and Berlin and embedded within a computational group in Norwich you will develop predictive models of transported RNAs. You will have access to single cell transcriptomics data for machine learning and perform statistical analyses to uncover patterns in the data that will form the basis of mechanistic models for mobile RNA information processing function.

Funding Notes

This project is awarded with a 4-year European Research Council PhD studentship. Tuition fees are covered for UK/EU rate only (£4,407.00 2020/21 rate). Students liable for international tuition fees will need to fund the difference between the UK/EU fee level and the international fee level (£19,100, 2020/21 rate). A stipend will be provided for each year of the studentship (2019/0 rate is £15,285.00). Research training support funding is available.
