Project Description

In the Optics and Photonics Research group we are looking for talented minds that are willing to shape the future of healthcare by research leading to a PhD. From reliable and accurate electronic devices to novel fibre optic sensors, our ground breaking research focuses on tackling health challenges enabling a better life quality. This particular PhD entitled “Wearable Optoelectronic Detection of Physiological Variables” is looking to apply wearable technologies to newborns who require extensive monitoring from birth.

Funding Notes

PhD funding (EPSRC including all fees) is available for 3.5 yrs with possibilities to convert to a CASE award.

Only eligible for UK/EU nationals. First Application deadline March 31st 2020 but open to September 1st 2020
