Wireless communication for Air Traffic Controllers
We are working closely with a company that designs new technology for airplanes and air traffic controllers. currently ATCs need to man their posts using old wired technology, especially on their headsets which at their current state are wired. This makes moving around difficult. We need to design a new system that will have the minimum delay (as this is a mission critical application) both on the headsets and on the overall network.
Students with a communication and hardware background are most fitted for this research project. Students that would already have a Masters degree will be preferred. Having some publications would also be preferable.
